The Swing Room is the only room in the house with windows facing the outside
and the central atrium. Traditionally, this was the room for afternoon naps,
as the two outside windows and the single one on the inside create a chimney
effect - drawing breeze through the room.
Prior to the revolution, there was a large swinging bed between these windows; patrons could lie on the bed and nap while the servants gently swung the bed back and forth. Of course, we rarely see such luxury and decadence in our own countries, and because of this legacy, this room was born for dark purple.
